Our primary mission is to enlarge the inventory of cord blood units for transplantations and to offer the collected stem cells to the public worldwide.
The second goal of Vivocell is to inform upcoming parents about all options they have to save the valuable stem cells right after birth. We intend to publish any important new developments with regard to treatment options and medical research. A scientific board will guide the relevance of the collected data and support the update of our information material.
We are a service institution for hospitals which want to participate in our program and can provide them with all necessary licenses required for collecting cord blood in Germany and Austria. This is supposed to facilitate the collection of the potentially live saving stem cells and should help avoiding that cord blood continuous to end in the waste container. For our public cord blood banking program we finance collection, collection fees, transport, freezing, typing, and storage of the precious stem cells. In any case, whether cord blood is donated or saved for the own child we take over all legal responsibilities. The hospital is kept free ao any reliabilities.
